Proposal Example: Enhancing Tinyman with Meme Token Farms and Marketing Initiatives

Abstract: This proposal aims to grow the Tinyman ecosystem by introducing and boosting meme token farms, specifically targeting tokens like $FLOKI, $TRUMP, and $WIF. By allocating 100,000 $TINY for reward enhancements and an additional 10,000 $TINY for marketing efforts, we plan to attract a broader audience and enhance platform engagement.

Objective: To expand the Tinyman ecosystem by integrating popular meme tokens, thus increasing user engagement through attractive farming rewards and targeted marketing campaigns.

Background: As meme tokens continue to capture significant attention across various blockchain platforms, their introduction to Algorand via Tinyman presents an opportunity to tap into this vibrant market segment. Bridging these tokens and providing initial liquidity incentives are expected to enhance both the diversity and activity within the platform.

Details:

  • Token Bridging and Initial Liquidity: Collaborate with Wormhole to bridge meme tokens like $FLOKI, $TRUMP, and $WIF into the Algorand ecosystem. This step includes the technical integration and testing to ensure secure and functional token bridges.

    • $FLOKI/$ALGO pool: Establish with 5,000 USDC.
    • $FLOKI/USDC pool: Establish with 5,000 USDC.
    • $TRUMP/$ALGO pool: Establish with 5,000 USDC.
    • $TRUMP/USDC pool: Establish with 5,000 USDC.
    • $WIF/$ALGO pool: Establish with 5,000 USDC.
    • $WIF/USDC pool: Establish with 5,000 USDC.
    • Each pool will be seeded with a matching 5,000 USDC to ensure sufficient liquidity and encourage early trading activity.
  • Reward Boosting: Distribute 100,000 $TINY over 90 days to incentivize participation in the newly established meme token farms.

    • $FLOKI/$ALGO pool: 30,000 $TINY
    • $TRUMP/$USDC pool: 40,000 $TINY
    • $WIF/$ALGO pool: 20,000 $TINY
  • Marketing and Community Engagement: Allocate 10,000 TINY to drive promotional campaigns:

    • Meme Coin Contest: 5,000 TINY dedicated to a contest encouraging the creation of memes involving $FLOKI, $TRUMP, and $WIF.
    • Content Generation Campaign: 5,000 TINY allocated for content creation that promotes these tokens and their associated farms on social media and other platforms.

Implementation Steps:

  1. Token Bridging: Work with Wormhole to ensure the secure and efficient transfer of meme tokens into the Algorand ecosystem.
  2. Initial Liquidity Provision: Deposit $10,000 USDC into each token’s ALGO and USDC pools to facilitate trading and liquidity.
  3. Reward Distribution Setup: Implement the reward boost program for the designated pools, ensuring daily distribution of TINY rewards.
  4. Marketing Campaigns: Execute a meme coin contest and a content generation campaign to promote the new farms and engage the community.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Regularly track the performance of the new pools and marketing activities, making necessary adjustments to maximize impact.

Community Benefits:

  • Enhanced Trading Options: Introduction of meme tokens offers more diversity in trading and investment on Tinyman.
  • Increased Liquidity and User Incentives: Substantial TINY rewards attract liquidity providers and traders, improving market depth and stability.
  • Greater Community Engagement: Innovative marketing campaigns foster community participation and excitement around new token launches.
  • Competitive Edge: Leveraging Algorand’s low fees and high-speed transactions will provide Tinyman with a competitive advantage over other blockchains, attracting more users to the platform.

Potential Challenges:

  • Bridging and Liquidity Risks: Managing the technical and financial aspects of bridging assets from other chains, ensuring seamless and secure transactions.
  • Adoption by New Users: Attracting and retaining new users from other blockchains, which depends on effective marketing and user experience.
  • Competition: Staying competitive against other blockchains offering similar incentives and features, leveraging Algorand’s unique advantages to maintain an edge.

Metrics for Success:

  • Liquidity Levels: Track the growth in liquidity for each new pool.
  • User Participation: Measure the increase in active users and participants in the farming and marketing activities.
  • Community Feedback: Collect and evaluate user feedback on the new token integrations and rewards program.
  • TVL Growth: Monitor the increase in Total Value Locked (TVL) across the new pools, highlighting the impact of the incentive programs on overall platform stability and liquidity.

Budget and Funding:

  • Total $TINY Allocation: 110,000 $TINY (100,000 for farming rewards, 10,000 for marketing).
  • USDC Investment: $30,000 for initial liquidity across three pools.
  • Total Budget: 110,000 $TINY + $30,000 USDC.

Conclusion: By integrating and promoting meme tokens within the Tinyman platform, this proposal seeks to capitalize on current market trends and drive further growth and innovation within the Algorand ecosystem. The strategic use of TINY rewards and marketing efforts aims to enhance platform utility and community engagement significantly.

Here is a proposal example, but since I voted against it, I will provide the reasons and suggestions for improvement.

I agree with strengthening the meme token farm, but deciding which tokens to bridge is the most important.

How about utilizing user surveys or governance voting?

Alternatively, I think criteria based on TVL (Total Value Locked) and Supply Distributed amount are also necessary.

I am all for supporting meme tokens. But deciding which one to support is the main conflict here.

$ora should definitely be one meme that is supported and pushed to users.

Out of all the meme’s out their, Ora has:

  1. By far the best tokenomics.
  2. The fairest distribution model.
  3. It benefits the Algorand Chain as a whole as the fee sink just keeps increasing.
  4. It’s a win win model for all.
  5. Anyone can participate.
  6. It’s closest to the King (BTC) type model.
  7. It’s by far the most decentralized.

But it’s relatively new so there is very little traction as of now. People barely know about it.

We need to get the word out for Ora.

Absolutely, Orange will show itself, especially when Thursday November 14th hits!

This is a good idea. However, just choosing meme coins from other networks seems a mistake. The fees earned by tinyman will be higher but it might not help the algo community.

Coins like Akita inu and the rest should be included too. People follow the money and if an algo meme coin shot up, it would be a much greater benefit

Far too many funds being used for low value tokens here. Voted against.

Can you share Ora ASA here ?

Incentivizing meme coins on TM just feels wrong, especially non-Algo native meme coins. And including an unapologetically devise coin like $trump is just begging for unnecessary drama. We should focus more on incentivizing more RWA and stablecoin adoption imo.

Love em or hate em, the prospect of meme coins traded for low overhead is appealing enough to keep so many faithful on solana and others.

If we can get those tokens trading on algorand where txns are legendarily cheap, that’s a big win for tiny and the ecosystem.

I’m for it

I see what you mean. The market demand for them is evident, but maybe keeping tinyman a bit “cleaner” (?) is better long term. I remember when yieldly was going strong and then kinda nose-dived after integrating anything and everything. Hate to see that here

Maybe there’s a way to segregate the two up front. Pooling with a separate interface or something with functionality and everything else built on tm

Really trying to get the best of both lol

While I agree with incentivizing meme liquidity pools, I think it would be better to distribute the proposed amount across more liquidity pools since we already have many interesting meme coins.

We could first vote on the number of farming programs, and then on which coins should be chosen. For example, if we decide on 5 programs, each governor could have 3 votes to allocate to the projects they want to support. The 5 projects with the most votes would be chosen.
